TRON LIGHTCYCLE / RUN D23 EVENTS

When you go into the grid, the best way to digitize is in sensational style. In spring of 2023, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club offered not one, but two events on the same day to celebrate the debut of TRON: Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. 

These separately ticketed events generated a fan-centric celebratory mood as we began the day with theatrical screenings of TRON: Legacy (2010) and ended the day with a D23 Gold Member Preview of TRON Lightcycle / Run.

My day was already made in the morning, as I was able to interview legendary director of TRON (1982) Steven Lisberger on stage before each screening. Steven and his wife joined our D23 Members in the evening to take a few runs on the attraction. Growing up watching TRON (1982) this was a dream come true for me and I still can’t believe that it happened! Both TRON Films, Games and TV Shows have inspired me so much in my life and this day was an unforgettable celebration of the world I hold so dearly!
